Players which leave or quit the game before it completes will recieve penalties. The purpose of these penalties is to discourage imbalancing the game, as certain mechanics are based around the number of people in the game at that time and can be severely imbalanced if players leave after they occur, such as number and strength of heroes and number of players which plague.

These penalties will increase with each subsequent occurrence. In order to remove penalties, players must play and finish games, but can regain penalties if they leave or quit a game early again.

Penalties

  • For the first few occurences, players will be placed in a grace period. They will recieve no warning and no penalty but are closer to recieving them than others.
  • Next, players will enter a warn period where they are given a warning message but do not recieve any penalties.
  • The first penalties a player will recieve are:
    • An inability to become a hero.
    • An inability to progress their statistics, locking them to what they currrently are.
  • The next set of penalties recieved are:
    • An inability to recieve bonus plague mana as a monster.
    • An inability to unlock and earn achievements.
    • A loss of their title preceding their name and the inability to choose the title to use it.
    • The inability to use the reserved slots before a game starts for the players that did not play the previous game.
  • The final penalty that can be given is:
    • The player cannot join games which have not started yet.
