Winter Event
The Winter Event is a seasonal event beginning in December, which puts on a seasonal layer of paint over the game, including some re-themed maps and textures. There are additionally some changes to gameplay, as below.
Contents
Cookies
During the Winter Event, players can find an item in their Strongbox which can be right-clicked to access the Cookie Shop. Cookies are earned for the team by slaying monsters, and can be used to purchase team-wide perks. Purchases from the shop are announced anonymously in chat to all players. Costs are halved in Rush Mode.
Presents
During the Winter Event, Special Monsters that are slain will drop presents on the ground.
Right clicking these presents as a dwarf will pick them up, providing bulk scavenger rewards and increasing the counter on the sidebar for each present collected. Presents collected count towards the Special Delivery quest.
Right clicking presents as a monster will destroy them, preventing dwarves from getting bonus resources.
Snowballs
Players can right click on snow layers to collect snowballs which can be thrown at other players to disrupt them.
Fruitcake
Dwarves will sometimes discover fruitcake while digging gravel or killing monsters.
