Moon Events
Moon events with special effects will occasionally take place instead of the normal Temporal Shifts. These events still advance the time to midnight while also providing effects when under their moonlight.
Ghastly Moon
- Any AIs spawning in an area exposed to the moonlight will always be ghosts
- Special ghosts are more likely to spawn
- Players will spawn as Ghosts instead of Zombies
Dark Moon
- Dwarves exposed to the moonlight will be unable to regenerate mana past 75% of their maximum mana
Blood Moon
- Bleeding dwarves taking damage when exposed to the moonlight will take increased damage
Ghosts
During the Halloween Event, ghosts spawn throughout the game.
AI Ghosts
As well as the normal AI Zombies, AI Ghosts will spawn around player monsters near dwarves.
Ghosts have the following properties:
- Partially invisible
- Higher jumps
- Pass through dwarf blocks
- Slightly floats when falling
In addition to regular ghosts, some ghosts spawn with special abilities:
- The Polterthrice splits into three smaller ghosts upon death, which will attack the dwarf who killed it
- The Shrill-o-Wisp releases a pulse of fire which damages and ignites nearby dwarves
- When the Popular Ghost is killed, other nearby ghosts will try to avenge it and will gain speed and strength buffs
Player Ghosts
When under the effects of the Ghastly Moon, players will be able to spawn as Ghosts with the following abilities:
- Pass through sufficiently sized walls
- Toggleable jump boost
- Spawns only AI ghosts
Emboars
- Main article: Emboar
During the Halloween Event, Emboars can spawn as special monsters. Emboars charge at dwarves and walls, dealing considerable damage to both.
Witches
Witches will sometimes spawn alongside AI zombies and ghosts, and are able to throw potions to heal monsters or damage dwarves.
Candy Apples
Dwarves can obtain Candy Apples from a variety of sources while playing. Eating a Candy Apple will randomly select a good or bad effect - or something useless, like spawning bats.
SuperHorse
- Main article: SuperHorse
SuperHorse can appear in the Halloween Event, dressed in a skeleton costume. Unlike the April Event he is not guaranteed to spawn every game, but is added to the Minor Hero pool.
Bats
When a dwarf dies during the Halloween Event, they emit a puff of smoke and bats fly out of their tummy. The bats cannot be killed and will linger on as a squeaky reminder of your fallen comrades.
